22 & 23 May 08 Scanned in a picture from the Spring 08 issue of the Navigator taken at the State Capitol with the Governor and Bill Mason of 11-02. Placed the picture on the Home page, the News page, and the America's Waterway Watch web page. Updated the "News Items" bulletin on the Home page. Also, added "Lake Viewers" for Barren River Lake, Center Hill Lake, Dale Hollow Lake, and J. Percy Priest Reservoir. Changed menu navigation to "Area Lakes" from "Cordell Hull/Old Hickory Lakes".
25 Apr 08 Added couple of the pictures taken at the Vessel Safety Check conducted at Shutes Branch Boat Ramps on April 19th, 2008 to our VSC web page. Also added 4 pics of April Boating Class at Boater's World to Classes web page. Also added pics of our newly painted Flotilla 11-02 equipment trailer to Members web page.
20 Apr 08 Added pictures taken at the Vessel Safety Check conducted at Shutes Branch Boat Ramps on April 19th, 2008 to our Flotilla Gallery which is on the "Fellowship" web page under "Members Area" main menu item. Also updated the VSC event dates on event web pages and Vessel Safety Check web page.
11 Apr 08 Added National Safe Boating Week info to Headlines section of home page, News page, Events calendar page ...also updated its link on Events page. Added a link for members only to use to receive a free digital download edition of Seamanship & Safety to the Members Training page.
4 Mar 08 Added two newest members, Fran Carpenter and Bill Mason, to members web page. Added a very useful button to both the Cordell Hull Lake and Old Hickory Lake Virtual Voyagers, which when clicked will take the user to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers online Cumberland River Navigation Chart for the mile point being viewed.
18 Jan 08 Added 2008 Spring Conference to events calendars. Added Cordell Hull Lake to Virtual Voyagers, changed Old Hickory Lake page to reflect this. Changed News Page to reflect this. Photo format changed in Members Area, Fellowship page.
14 Jan 08 Made a change to "America's Waterway Watch" web page to include Bill Mason's great photo of the General Jackson with Nashville in the background. Changed AXhome.php page to be identical to index.php page in case anyone is still using the original URL. Added specific links to NOAA Weather sites to the home page menu, per several requests.
30 Dec 07 Changed format of Heading, footer, and Navigation Menu so that site will work on small screens, such as 600 x 400 and 640 x 480. Added a new web page, to be accessed only from the Old Hickory Lake page, that allows users to take a Virtual Voyage of the lake. Added code to Old Hickory Lake page that will allow user to select one of four different Map Display Sizes before clicking the Take A Virtual Voyage of Old Hickory Lake button. Reason for this display size selection is that some users are still on dial-up, which would greatly affect the speed of display. These users should use the smallest size; 600 x 400. Broadband users with large screens will enjoy the 1200 x 1000 pixcel map advantages.
22 Dec 07 Changed Jan 08 meeting location to Shoney's Restaurant on Home Page; Changed wording on Boating Classes page to '2008 classes being formed'; Updated each page to reflect 2008 Unit Officers
4 May 07 Added a CSS file to the site that allows users to print off contents of site pages without printing the navigation menu also. Made a few cosmetic changes in "Emergency Contacts" section.
30 Apr 07 Changed steveuscgaux@comcast.net to steveuscgaux@bellsouth.net throughout the site. Moved "Boat Tennessee" section to "Boating Classes" section. Moved Pop Washburn to VSC page. While at my sons house, made list of which screens were having trouble on his 17" screen, and think I have fixed them.....let me know if you find any remaining problems.
18 Apr 07 Found out from Bill Weeks, SO-CS, that this site has not been working right on 17" screens.......corrections are in progress, with Bill's help. Also, added "RSS News Feeds" section to the "News of Interest" navigation menu. As I or you guys find more flotillas or otherwise interesting feeds, let me know about them and we'll add them too! if you're not familiar with RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds, what you do is just click on the feed you are interested in, then select the feed story you want to see, and it will take you there....really neat stuff, give it a try.
11 Apr 07 Been really busy, finally got around to adding content to the Emergency Contacts page. After significant internet research, found EMA administrtors and Sheriff's names & phone numbers for Northern Alabama, Southern Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee. Still need further verification on the Tennessee data. Also, added a marquee of important happenings to the home page.
5 Apr 07 Added MapQuest "Get Directions" code to Boat Tennessee page. Added MapQuest "Map It" button code for VFW address on home page.
1 Apr 07 Wrote a routine to automatically trigger the next available Boat Tennessee class date to display on the "Boat Tennessee" page the day after the current class.
28 Mar 07 Wrote a routine to automatically trigger the next months meeting date to display on the home page the day after this months meeting.

3 Mar 07 Updated the members area after looking over several other Flotilla Sites. Added listing of our 2007 Flotilla Officers. Added a link to AUXINFO (COGNOS), which has a "warning page" about using the site. Added link to AUX eDirectory, which has a password protected entry page. Added links to North American Safe Boating Campaign in various places. Added link to pdf form to register a marine event with TWRA.
21 Feb 07 Updated site in many areas. Randy Hawkins supplied some very cool Coast Guard patrol boat news! On the events main page, added code that triggers on calendar month. Depending on the month, Federal holidays and events of general interest to the public for that month are displayed.
15 Feb 07 Added links to "Coast Guard News", "Maritime News", and "Coast Guard and Military Associations". Randy Ventress supplied these! Also added a link to the USACE "For Kids" (educational online learning) page.
08 Feb 07 Updated site in many areas, due to feedback information & pictures from members. Added "history of flotilla" to home page. Added Feb 3 class photos. Added Feb 5 meeting minutes. Added "Eagle" ship pics to cg academy page and redid whole page. Removed refs to teaching of Boating Skills & Seamanship and America's Boating Course from classes page.
