History of Flotilla 11-02
The official name of this Flotilla is "Nashville Second". It is the oldest Flotilla in the Division, Chartered in 1942. It has only been considered a Hendersonville Flotilla after it moved into Drakes Creek Marina about 2002.
What We Do
As the civilian, non-military component of the Coast Guard Team, created by an act of congress in 1939, the Auxiliary directly supports the Coast Guard in all of its missions except military and law enforcement actions. Over 34,000 volunteer Auxiliarists, nation-wide, actively patrol our waterways and regularly meet with the boating public at marinas and in classrooms. Auxiliarists also serve side-by-side with active duty members of the Coast Guard at their stations and in times of disaster.
Opportunities For You
Recreational boating in the U.S. is growing by leaps and bounds! The Auxiliay needs more quality members like you to help make boating safer for all! If you are a U.S. citizen 17 years of age and up, you can join!

Members learn with the best and are eligible to receive the world's finest on-the-water training. Advanced training courses in Navigation, Seamanship, Communications, Weather, Patrols, Administration and Search & Rescue are available as well as courses from the Coast Guard Institute. You can become proficient in any or all of the following areas.
